About Designing South Africa
South Africa is a nation celebrated for its determination, diversity and democracy. This raw inspiration for the facilitation and development of vibrant, energised cities defines its strong urban culture and globally recognised identity.
Informed design thinking grows increasingly important as urban centres expand. The level of critical, pragmatic engagement by all tiers of government, corporations and individuals with society, identity, public space and transport, the built environment, the carbon footprint, health, economies and natural environments directly inform the quality of the South African urban experience.
Designing South Africa aims to incite a global conversation, inspired by South African achievements - a forum for the generation and sharing of strategic ideas and solutions, creating a better informed public while facilitating a national and international cross pollination of creative thought.
